PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Heartbreak has swept through the North Hills community following the tragic passing of Addie, a recent North Hills High School graduate whose bright future was only just beginning. She was 18.
Addie, a proud 2025 graduate, left a lasting mark on those around her. A dedicated athlete, she was a valued member of the North Hills Girls Soccer team, where her determination and team spirit shone on and off the field. She also pursued her passion for building and design through carpentry studies at A.W. Beattie Career Center, where classmates and teachers remember her as hardworking, kind, and eager to learn.
“We are heartbroken and send our deepest sympathies and sincere condolences to Addie’s family, friends, and everyone whose lives she touched,” the district said in a statement.
Counseling services have been made available to students, staff, and families at North Hills High School and will remain open for as long as needed, as the community leans on one another to process this devastating loss.
This tragedy serves as a painful reminder of how quickly life can change. In the midst of sorrow, loved ones and neighbors are drawing strength from one another and finding comfort in the love that surrounds Addie’s memory.
Though her time was cut far too short, Addie’s spirit, kindness, and impact on her school, teammates, and community will never be forgotten.
